Eremo delle Carceri is a hermitage in Assisi, Italy - it is where St Francis of Assisi retreated to for quiet time. The painting is an interpretation of a photograph I took when I visited Carceri in April.
Doorways are an invitation to enter where I have not entered, to see what I have not seen, and most of all, to meet the Lord.
